Membership in Zonta International and the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County is a responsibility that requires dedication, time and commitment. With that responsibility comes a sense of purpose, camaraderie and the joy of making a difference.
Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to professionals who support the objectives of Zonta.
Our Open Invitation
We invite you to attend and participate in our business luncheon meetings, fund raisers, membership events or special activities prior to joining. This will allow you to get to know and network with our dynamic members. Once we get to know each other you will see the benefits of becoming an active member of the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County.
Member Responsibilities
We are an active service organization in the Boulder Area committed to making a difference in the status of women in our community and around the world. Members are responsible for regularly attending club and relevant committee meetings and are asked to participate in any of a range of activities including hands-on service activities, educational events and fundraising efforts. You must pay all dues, fees, and assessments promptly. You may be called upon to serve in leadership roles and give your time, talent, and enthusiasm to the organization. You are also responsible for identifying and recommending prospective new members. As time and resources allow, you are encouraged to also attend Area, District, and International meetings, workshops, conferences, and conventions.
Membership Process
Prospective members are required to attend two Club functions to be eligible for membership. If they commit to our club and its mission, and pay the required annual fees, new members are inducted into the club at our monthly business meeting. At that time they will be asked to join a committee and participate in club activities
Fees
Dues for the year are $250, broken down as follows:
$150 for monthly meeting lunches at the Boulder Cork
$50 to Zonta International
$17 to the District
$3 for insurance
$30 for Club operating expenses
There is a one-time $25 initiation fee.
