Held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 Zonta Foothills members attended a wine tasting evening at the Boulder Creek Winery, a local woman owned winery. The winery generously donated 20% of all wine sales from the evening to our Bev Hackbart Scholarship. Our sincere thanks to Jackie and Mike Thompson who gave us a wonderful evening together and helped a single parent attending the University of Colorado, Boulder, at the same time. Everyone greatly enjoyed the delicious wine and hospitality.
An Evening at Attention Homes
Held on Wednesday, December 09, 2009 Zonta volunteeres spent a fun filled evening at Attention Homes with at risk teens making a gingerbread house and cookies for the holidays.
Kay Meyer Elected Governor
Held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 Kay Meyer was unanimously elected governor of Zonta District 12. Congratulations Kay!
Zonta District 12 Conference
Held on Friday, October 30, 2009 The Zonta District 12 Conference was held at the Red Lion Central Hotel in Denver, Colorado October 30 - November 1, 2009 gathering women from Zonta clubs throughout Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana. Highlights included the assembling of nearly 1000 "birthing kits" to ensure "clean births" for women in Asia and Africa, sponsored by Zonta Foothills Foundation. In addition, Kay Meyer was elected as District 12 Governor for a two year term commencing June 1, 2010. Ellen Marshall, of Good Works Group, spoke on a panel concerning advocacy by Zonta clubs on women's issues.
United Nations Day Celebration
Held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 Zonta Foothills helped celebrate the 64th anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations charter on October 24, 1945 with speakers, food and education in Boulder.

Bev Sears honored by Boulder Chamber
Held on Friday, September 18, 2009 Bev Sears was honored by the Boulder Chamber as a "Woman Who Lights Up the Community" with a Lifetime Achievement Award. A luncheon at the Millenium Harvest was held to honor women in the community and Zonta Foothills was well represented to support Bev. Bev was nominated by Laura McCutchen on behalf for the Club. A video was presented highlighting the work Bev has done with CU Foundation, the Audobon Society, Zonta Foothills, as a Boulder City Councilwoman and much more. Bev is an amazing woman and we are so lucky to have her as part of Zonta (since 1983).

Zappy Hour
Held on Thursday, September 03, 2009 Zonta Foothills held another fun event bringing together members, prospective members and people interested in learning about Zonta Foothills. It was hosted by Kay Meyer at her beautiful farm. Everyone had a great time seeing each other after the summer and meeting Kay's very dynamic llamas. Vanessa Frambes, winner of both the 2008 and 2009 Bev Hackbart Scholarship was a great reminder why our good works and our scholarships are so important.
Fourth Annual Authors' Luncheon

The Fourth Annual Authors' Luncheon featuring John Shors ("Under a Marble Sky"), Sybil Downing ("The Vote") and Audrey Nelson, Ph.D ("You Don't Say: Navigating Non Verbal Communications Between the Sexes"). Justice Jean Dubofsky, the first woman justice on the Colorado Supreme Court, was the honorary chair.
