Service Partners for 2010 - 2012

Boulder Valley Teen Parent Program

Sponsored by the Boulder Valley School District, the Teen Parent program allows pregnant or parenting teenagers to complete their education while providing them with on-site quality childcare. The students may earn a high school diploma, GED certificate or technical education certificate. This program currently enrolls 32 young parents and 28 babies.  The staff works tirelessly to support them with schooling, job training, and family issues.

The value and long-term benefit of finishing their high school education is enormous, both to the young parents and their children.  In addition to providing financial support to the program for incidental needs, Zonta Foothills volunteers help as tutors, babysitters, mentors, and computer trainers.
