Laine C. Wolf, certified financial planner at UBS Financial Services attended the Australian International Resources Conference USA held at the Brown Palace Hotel on Feb 22-23. U.S. investment opportunities in Australian Natural Resource Companies were presented throughout the two-day conference by presenting company CEOs and senior representatives through formal presentations on the Australian Natural Resource Companies.

Bev Sears Honored by Boulder Chamber of Commerce

Zonta Foothills member, Bev Sears, has been chosen as a "Woman Who Lights Up the Community" by the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award on September 18, 2009 at the Millennium Harvest House.


Kay Meyer authors article in ICOSA Magazine

Kay Meyer, Zonta Foothills Club member and Zonta District 12 Lt. Governor, authored ”Human Rights Treaties”, an article in the May-June 2009 issue of the ICOSA Magazine. The article explores the conflict between human rights treaties and global economics, the role of local action in the passage of international human rights treaties such as CEDAW (The Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women) and Zonta’s role in urging the United States to adopt the Convention.

Zonta urges passage of CEDAW resolution.

Date: 3/10/2008
Zonta Foothills Club, along with other Colorado Zontians, were at the forefront in urging the successful passage of a Colorado Legislature Joint Resolution supporting the passage of CEDAW (The U.N. Convention on the Eliminiation of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women)by the U.S. Congress. THE U.S. is one of only eight countries that have not passed the Convention.
