Committees

  • The Service Committee provides service opportunities for Club members throughout the year. It plans activities  that  support our mission and vision and works closely with the Club’s other committees to create service projects that are part of the Club’s strategic plan. It administers the Zonta Foothills Free Lending Library Program, our Share-a-Gift partnership, and other projects as they arise. The Service Projects of our Club can support partner organizations like The Boulder Valley Schools, Emergency Family Assistance Association, Community Food Share, Mother House, The Reentry Initiative, Share-a-Gift and other local organizations.  In addition, the committee can coordinate the collection of member donations from time-to-time (e.g., turkeys at Thanksgiving, clothing, hygiene products, etc. ) to be given to local partners in need.

  • The EducateZ Committee coordinates and funds leadership programs in our community. They mentor all activities of our Boulder High PantherZ Z Club, Flatirons Golden Z Club and Platinum Z Club. This includes all Club planning, support of the ZClub interns, management of ZClub budgets and coordination of the PantherZ Z Club Scholarships and Golden Z Club Scholarships and The Golden Z Education Fund.

    Zonta EducateZ was launched in 2012 to support the education of women and girls in our community. Through scholarships, mentoring and direct support we work to empower women and girls continue and succeed at their education.

    Zonta Foothills members volunteer as mentors, supporting the leaders of tomorrowthrough our Boulder High Pantherz Z Club and our Flatirons Golden Z Club. Our EducateZ scholarships support women at colleges, universities and other professional schools throughout the front range.

  • The EducateZ Scholarship Committee manages the administration of all of the scholarships offered by the Zonta Foothills Foundation. The committee administers each scholarship during a calendar year, sets deliverable dates each year, communicates with potential applicants, selects winners and coordinates awards/meetings for winners to attend Club meetings.

  • The Advocacy Committee stays abreast of local, state, national and international issues that impact women. It is responsible for determining the most impactful way for the  Club to influence policy and educate our community on these issues and supporting the strategic direction of the Club in supporting those issues. The Advocacy Committee keeps the membership informed as to state legislative issues impacting women and girls, international projects adopted by Zonta International and recommendations for the Club's annual Zonta International service fund allocations. In addition, the Advocacy Committee coordinates our partnership with the Women’s Collaborative of Boulder County

  • The Fundraising Committee plans and manages all fundraising activities for our Foundation. The Committee coordinates at least one large fundraiser per year, supports the implementation of Colorado Gives, provides strategies to help secure organization sponsors, maintains all communication with donors and works with the Public Relations Committee to create messaging and develop fundraising materials.

  • The Community Outreach Committee gets the word out. It coordinates social media, designs and develops written materials and manages our website. The Outreach Committee promotes the “Zonta '' brand in the community through advertisements, articles submitted to newspapers, magazines and web based media. The committee publicizes all Club events and creates PR materials.  It contacts and updates print and online community calendars, submits newsworthy information to the media as well as to  Zonta International and District 12.

  • The Governance & Engagement Committee will help the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County reach its full potential through recruitment and effective engagement of our Members. This committee will continue to grow our Club membership by recruiting capable, diverse and enthusiastic women who share a complementary mix of skills. It will also engage all members in the work of our Club through ongoing education about The Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County and Zonta International programs at all levels.
