About Zonta – It All Started in 1919

Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.

We are more than 30,000 members strong, 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 63 countries and geographic areas. Zontians world-wide volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, and scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and vision.

Vision

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.

In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

Goals

Zonta International is needed now more than ever. Our vision for gender equality is not yet a reality. Around the world, women and girls are facing increased challenges as a result of COVID-19, climate change and threats to their human rights.

To respond to these challenges, we need a strong, committed community of individuals working together at the local and global levels to fight for gender equity. Together, we will build a better world for women and girls aspiring to these Biennial Goals.
