Committees

  • The Advocacy Committee stays abreast of local, state, national and international issues that impact women. It determes a strategic direction for the Club’s legislative actions related to state legislative issues that impact women, girls, and families, international projects adopted by Zonta International. They also make formal recommendations for the Club's annual Zonta International service fund allocations and coordinate our partnership with the Women’s Collaborative of Boulder County

  • The Governance & Engagement Committee help the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County reach its full potential through recruitment and member engagement. They help to grow our Club by recruiting capable, diverse and enthusiastic members. The committee also engages all members in ongoing education about our Club and Zonta International programs at all levels.

  • The Service Committee coordinates service opportunities for Club members. It plans activities  to support our mission and vision. It administers the Zonta Foothills Free Lending Library Program, our Share-a-Gift partnership, and other projects as they arise. Our service projects support partner organizations like The Boulder Valley Schools, Emergency Family Assistance Association, Community Food Share, Mother House, Share-a-Gift and other local organizations.  In addition, the committee coordinates the collection of member donations (e.g., turkeys at Thanksgiving, clothing, hygiene products, etc. ) to local partners in need.

  • The EducateZ Committee coordinates our leadership programs. They mentor all activities of our Boulder High Pantherz Z Club, Watershed School Z Club, Flatirons Golden Z Club and Platinum Z Club. This includes all Club planning, support of the Z Club interns, management of Z Club budgets and coordination of the Pantherz Z Club Scholarships and Golden Z Club Scholarships and The Golden Z Education Fund. Zonta EducateZ was launched in 2012 to support the education of women and girls in our community. Through scholarships, mentoring and direct support, the committee’s goal is to support women and girls navigate their education. So the Committee also manages our Zonta Educatez scholarships, to support women at colleges, universities and other professional schools throughout the front range.

  • The EducateZ Scholarship Committee manages the administration for the majority of the scholarships offered by the Zonta Foothills Foundation. The committee administers each scholarship during a calendar year, sets deliverable dates each year, communicates with potential applicants, selects winners and coordinates awards/meetings for winners to attend Club meetings.

  • The Fundraising Committee plans and manages all fundraising activities for our Foundation. The Committee coordinates at least one large fundraiser per year, supports the implementation of Colorado Gives Day, provides strategies to help secure organization sponsors, maintains all communication with donors and works with the Public Relations Committee to create messaging and develop fundraising materials.

  • The Community Outreach Committee gets the word out. It coordinates social media, designs and develops written materials and manages our website. The Outreach Committee promotes the “Zonta '' brand in the community through advertisements, articles submitted to newspapers, magazines and web based media. The committee publicizes all Club events and creates PR materials.
