2026 Zonta Foothills Club Woman of Achievement

Each year, we recognize a woman in our community who demonstrates a commitment to Building a Better World for Women and Girls. Our award goes to a woman whose work is “advancing the status of women and girls worldwide through service and advocacy.”

This year we are honored to introduce:

Ginny Corsi

Ginny Corsi had a very different, quite successful career path....but a very committed AVOCATIONAL path, helping women and girls in career insights and leadership training.

In her early years, Ginny founded the Women's Political Caucus in her county, spearheading the effort to encourage more women to run for office.  For this, she was recognized and later appointed as Chief of Staff for New York State's First woman Lieutenant Governor. In office, she was often a speaker for high school commencements, Girls State, as well as college keynotes for annual Women's History Months at universities.

Her activism on behalf of women's rights and leadership continued alongside her career. As a Director of the Executive Seminar program at the Aspen Institute, she initiated new active roles for spouses in the leadership seminars. While very busy in the world of Financial Services in New York City, in her spare time, she led seminars for the annual Girls Leadership Workshops at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Valkill, New York.

When she moved to Boulder from New York City, she volunteered her expertise to a group of YWCA girls producing a newsletter. She brought her skills from her many years as a news reporter and editor in financial services to help the girls with practical experience and insights.

For many years in Boulder, she has been a mentor to women pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

Ginny sustains her interest and activism in helping young and older women through a business organization called WILD Council, which stands for Women Inspiring Leadership Development.

Thank you, Ginny, for making a life-long commitment to making the world a better place for women and girls.
